The food at The Half Moon Inn is authentic Devon Style Cuisine and freshly cooked using local and seasonal produce from local food suppliers. Our menu is predominately home-made and is changed regularly to reflect seasonal variances. Our Chef and his team produce a daily specials board and will cater for customers with specific dietary needs. It is important that you discuss these with our trained staff before placing your order.
Prior booking is strongly recommended for all bookings so please call us or fill in the ‘contact us’ form, especially if you are planning a special lunch, evening or dinner party and to advise us of any dietary requirements.

Monday to Saturday 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Sunday 5:30 - 7:30pm
On the last Sunday of the month during September to April, we also offer our Carvery 12:00 - 3:00pm!
Please be aware that these times are subject to seasonal changes, so its always recommended to call ahead and book your table, thank you.
Please also note that if you are over 15 minutes late for your table and do not inform us, it may be given up and re-used
Dining Spaces
In our restaurant and dining areas we can cater for small and large groups of up to 50 people, in a number of dining configurations
We have several dining areas to suit most needs, including:
The Dining Room - Which can cater for small (1-10), medium (10-20) and large gatherings up to 50 people.
The Bar - Informal dining with intimate seating for groups up to 10 people.
Outside - The outside seating area provides warm weather space for everyone to enjoy the picturesque square and laid-back ambiance of Sheepwash.
Please note for bookings of 10 or more we do require a pre-order!
Sunday Roasts
Chef Lee’s ever-popular Sunday Roasts are available every Sunday 12-3pm with a weekly changing choice of 4 Meats or Roasted Vegetable Crumble. All roasts are served with a selection of Seasonal Vegetables and of course delicious rich gravy!
Roasts are also on offer Sunday evenings 5:30-7:30pm, subject to availability, so it is always best to book in advance.
The last Sunday of every month during Winter brings our infamous Carvery…also available 12-3pm. Due to it’s popularity, we strongly recommend booking early for the Carvery to avoid disappointment.

Gift Vouchers
Vouchers can be purchased for a preferred amount, at any time, just ask at our bar. As we recognise that life is busy, there is no time limit for them to be enjoyed.
