Local Activities

Nestled away in the Torridge Valley, the Half Moon Inn is ideally situated for you to gain easy access to a wealth of indoor and outdoor activities.

Surrounded by Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors, there is an abundance of rolling countryside, high moorland and wooded valleys for you to explore. To the North there is some of the most stunning coastal scenery to be seen in the British Isles.

The pannier markets of Bideford, Barnstaple and Tavistock are not to be missed, along with a host of other attractions big and small.

Walking

Located in the heart of Ruby Trail Country and within easy reach of the Tarka Trail or the coast, or just a stroll along our own 4 mile stretch of river where you are more than likely to spot our resident Otter families and maybe a Kingfisher or two, it is all here for you.

Horseriding

If you want to gallop across dartmoor or take a leisurely trek along the North Devon coastline it is all within easy reach.
